Oct 29	The 2nd annual meeting (President: Kiyohiko Oda, Yamaguchi City) *Held the day before the 45th meeting of the Central Japan Association of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology
1976
			Established a conference secretariat at Fukuoka University. “Objective of the Society: The purpose is to promote and advance clinical research on the shoulder joint. The society holds an annual conference to enhance academic progress and cultivate camaraderie among its members. The society ensures that discussions are conducted without being overly formal, ensuring ample time for free exchange of opinions."
Nov 4	The 3rd annual meeting (President: Naoto Takagishi, Fukuoka City)
1977
		May 30	The first volume, first issue of the journal “The Shoulder Joint (Katakansetsu)” has been published.
Nov 5	The 4th annual meeting (President: Kokichi Tsuchiya, Yokohama City)
1978
			Adachi Nagao, Endo Hisao, Nobuhara Katsuya, Fukuda Hiroaki, Yamamoto Ryūji, Mikasa Motohiko, and Ogawa Kiyohisa, a group of seven, gave lectures at six facilities in the United States.

			ICSS (International Conference on Surgery of the Shoulder) was inaugurated.

			ASES (American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons) was inaugurated.

Oct 1-2	The 10th annual meeting (President: Ryohei Suzuki, Nagasaki City) *Held over 2 days; Commencement of the social gathering.		Naoto Takagishi was appointed as the 3rd president at the 2nd ICSS (Canada: Toronto; chaired by President Bateman)

Nov 10-11	The 11th annual meeting (President: Hiroaki Fukuda, Yokohama City)
1985
Oct 5-6	The 12th annual meeting (President: Shigeo Matsuno, Sapporo City)		The symbol mark for Japanese Shoulder Society, created by Kimitaka Fukuda, was first used (formally approved in 1986).
1986
Oct 28-30	The 13th annual meeting (President: Naoto Takagishi, Fukuoka City)		Jointly held with the 3rd International Conference on Surgery of the Shoulder (ICSS).
1987
			SECEC (European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow) was inaugurated.
		May	“The Evaluation of the Shoulder” created by Japan Shoulder Society received approval from the Japanese Orthopedic Association. It was subsequently published as “The Japanese Orthopaedic Association score (JOA score)”.
		Aug 19	Japan Shoulder Society was approved as a registered research group by Science Council of Japan.
Oct 31-Nov 1	The 14th annual meeting (President: Motohiko Mikasa, Tokyo)		The first volume of the Shoulder Joint Literature Collection, curated by Motohiko Mikasa, was distributed, containing approximately 5,000 literatures. The Takagishi Award was established.

Oct 14-15	The 15th annual meeting (President: Minoru Sakurai, Sendai City)
1998
Nov 23-24	The 16th annual meeting (President: Akio Matsuzaki, Fukuoka City)		The honorary membership system was established.
1990
Oct 12-13	The 17th annual meeting (President: Fumio Kato, Tokyo)
1991
Nov 15-16	The 18th annual meeting (President: Kosaku Mizuno, Kobe City)		To conduct the peer-review process for Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, an international committee was established, and it was decided that the editorial board of the journal “The Shoulder Joint” would assume this responsibility.

Oct 2-3	The 19th annual meeting (President: Shiro Tabata, Iwaki City)
1993
Oct 1-2	The 20th annual meeting (President: Nobuyuki Ito, Nagasaki City)		Asian Shoulder Association was inaugurated.
1994
Oct 14-15	The 21st annual meeting (President: Tomomitsu Kutsuma, Kofu City)
			Japan Shoulder Society and SECEC launched the traveling fellowship. The inaugural follow from Japan was Eiji Itoi.
1995
Oct 21-22	The 22nd annual meeting (President: Jiro Ozaki, Nara City)
1996
Oct 31-Nov 1	The 23rd annual meeting (President: Seiji Sano, Omiya City)		“The Shoulder Joint“ was approved by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications as an academic publication, and the abstracts of the annual meeting were first published as the inaugural issue of “The Shoulder Joint”.
1997
Oct 31-Nov 1	The 24th annual meeting (President: Yasusuke Hirasawa, Kyoto City)		The membership exceeded 1,000 members. The Takagishi Award was renamed the Naoto Takagishi Award.
