				Japan Shoulder Society and KSES(Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society) launched the traveling fellowship. The inaugural follows from Japan were Kazuhide Suzuki and Naoko Mizuno.

2014
				Japan Shoulder Society and ASES(American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons) launched the traveling fellowship. The inaugural follows from Japan were Tadanao Funakoshi and Nobuyuki Yamamoto.
			Apr 1	The domestic use of reverse shoulder arthroplasty was approved, and as of August 2022, approximately 20,000 procedures have been conducted within the country.
			Aug 1	Japan Shoulder Society has been incorporated as a general incorporated association with the inaugural President Eiji Itoi. Article 3 Purpose: This organization aims to promote the presentation, communication, collaboration, and advancement of both basic and clinical research related to the shoulder joint. Its objective is to contribute to the progress and dissemination of shoulder joint medicine and thereby contribute to the welfare of humanity.
